History of Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace History

History of Darth Sidious History and Darth Maul History

Basic Plot Script Summary Outline of Star Wars Episode 1 i One The Phantom Menace: The Phantom Menace has two main focus story lines. The most important is the origins and call to destiny fate of the young Anakin Skywalker on Tatooine. The second story premise involves the Trade Federation droid military invasion of Naboo. It turns out that the Sith Lords are indeed the phantom menace, who have haunted the Star Wars galaxy for several millennia.

Role of Darth Sidious: Without doubt or serious argument, Darth Sidious is the most significant Star Wars character from the Star Wars movie saga. It is the wicked machinations of Darth Sidious that end up causing the sudden collapse of the Old Republic and the entire Jedi Order.

In The Phantom Menace, Darth Sidious has finally unleashed the Sith conspiracy in the open with regards to the Trade Federation conquest of Naboo. The reason for this attack is so that Senator Palpatine of Naboo can orchestrate his ascension to the position of Supreme Chancellor, who is the leader of the Old Republic.

The Trade Federation conspire with the Sith Lords, but the Trade Federation has no idea that they are being set up for disaster in order for Darth Sidious to achieve his political goals. No one except Darth Maul realizes Darth Sidious and Dantius Palpatine are the same person. The fact not a single person can detect that Palpatine is a Sith is what directly causes the end of freedom and justice in the Star Wars galaxy.

Role of Darth Maul: The Sith Order has been reduced to only two members as a result of a catastrophic civil war, which caused the self destruction of the Sith Lords. As a result, the Sith limit themselves to a single Sith Master and one Sith apprentice. Darth Maul is the current Sith apprentice at the time of The Phantom Menace.

The main objective of Darth Maul is to have the spectacular showdown with the Jedi at the conclusion of The Phantom Menace. The hallowed and legendary Star Wars script plot formula requires that each Star Wars film episode has a light saber fight between the Jedi and Sith.

Since genius mastermind creator George Lucas was saving the Darth Sidious vs. Yoda light saber battle for Star Wars Episode 3 Three iii Revenge of the Sith, it was not an option to have Darth Sidious in a light saber fight during The Phantom Menace. As a result, Lucas created Darth Maul for the purpose of the most electrifying light saber duel the Star Wars movie trilogies had ever experienced.

Ultimately, Darth Maul vs. Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi happened at the end of The Phantom Menace. Darth Maul killed Qui-Gon, but Obi-Wan managed to survive and destroy Darth Maul. Lucas needed an older and more political savvy Sith apprentice to lead the future Separatists against the Old Republic during the Clone Wars.

It's true Darth Maul was a powerful weapon, who mastered the powers of the dark side of the Force, but for Star Wars Episode 2 ii Two Attack of the Clones Lucas wanted a more venerable Sith apprentice. Hence, Darth Maul became expendable and Darth Maul didn't survive The Phantom Menace.

However, for season 4 of the Star Wars The Clone Wars TV series, Darth Maul will be returning to cause chaos once more.
