A redeemed Anakin Skywalker seized Darth Sidious, who was mercilessly torturing Luke Skywalker with Force lightning, and cast Darth Sidious alive into the death star reactor core.
Anakin Skywalker managed to destroy the Sith Order permanently. The Sith Lords NEVER returned again after the events of Return of the Jedi because the secret knowledge of the Sith was lost forever with the passing of Darth Vader and Darth Sidious.
Name of Sith Apprentice: In secret, Darth Vader trained a Sith Lord apprentice named Galen Marek.
